How long do I have the digital registration on my Alberta.ca account?
The digital download of your registration certificate will stay on your Alberta.ca account for one year from the date of your online renewal transaction. If you renewed your registration days or weeks before the expiry date on your registration, your download may disappear from your account before the next expiry date.
Once your digital download leaves your Alberta.ca account, you can’t get it back. If you lose your registration certificate before it expires, but after your digital download is gone from your account, you will need to order and pay for a duplicate registration, either online on eServices or in person at an Alberta registry office. The fee for a duplicate registration is around $28.
Can I also have a paper copy of my registration mailed to me?
Unfortunately, no. When you renew your registration on eServices, only the digital download of your registration certificate is provided. Nothing is mailed to you.
If you require a paper copy of your registration, and you cannot access and print from your digital download, you will need to order and pay for a duplicate registration, either online on eServices or in person at an Alberta registry office. The fee for a duplicate registration is around $28.
